Samantha Brock
Samantha Brock is an accomplished hospitality professional currently serving as Assistant General Manager at MGM Resorts in Las Vegas, where she oversees pool operations and the poolside restaurant and bar. Known for her hands-on leadership style, Samantha prioritizes integrity, accountability, and creating a workplace that feels like home. She is dedicated to coaching and developing her team, paying forward the mentorship she received from leaders who helped shape her career. Samantha’s career in hospitality began in 2014 at United Parks and Resorts, where she started as a shallow water attendant at Aquatica and quickly advanced through a series of leadership roles. Over the next decade, she gained extensive experience in aquatics management, supervision, and lifeguard instruction, including teaching American Red Cross lifeguarding and CPR for Professional Rescuers to international teams. Her accomplishments include developing leadership training programs, enhancing standard operating procedures, negotiating off-site training facilities, and achieving the highest employee retention in the department's history during her tenure as manager. Samantha holds a B.S. (2019) and M.S. (2021) in Chemistry from Texas A&M University–Kingsville, where she was actively involved in student leadership and research initiatives. She is currently completing an MBA at Purdue Global University (expected March 2026) with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Her dedication to service has been recognized with the American Red Cross Lifesaving Award and Lifesaving Instructor Award, reflecting her commitment to safety, leadership, and excellence in the hospitality industry.

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is that people aren’t traveling enough, which impacts growth and opportunities for innovation in hospitality and guest experiences.
