Influential Women

Women Veterans Day is now officially acknowledged and celebrated across the nation, but Texas led this charge in 2017. I am proud to be one seven women who travel across the State of Texas to testified on behalf of the original bill. Our stories laid the foundation for what I believe will eventually be a national day of recognition. Our Texas State Representative insisted and persisted until we obtained an official day to educate, validate and commemorate women who have and are serving in our military. The Government signed the bill as an amendment June 9, 2017.

Earning my bachelor's degree in Sociology from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2022 was one of the proudest milestones of my life. Balancing full-time work, motherhood, and college was not always easy, but it taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of never giving up on my goals. This achievement represents years of hard work, sacrifice, and determination. More importantly, it allowed me to show my daughter that with dedication and perseverance, anything is possible.

I finally wrote the book self published winning a few bestseller categories. Then I was picked up by a publisher and I received international best seller in 18 categories in multiple countries. Being the first Biologic Coordinator to speak at the Texas Dermatological Society Fall Session 2025. My Presentation was on the importance of Biologic Coordinators in dermatology. That presentation is now an article available for all.
