As someone with experience bridging the gap between clinical operations and community outreach, the advice I would offer to young women entering the field either as a community health worker (CHW) or an office manager in a healthcare setting is to focus on building resilience, cultivating unique skills, and prioritizing self-care. 

In the dual role of a Community Health Worker (CHW) and Office Manager, the biggest or primary challenges stem from resource constraints and the complex nature of healthcare operations. 

As a woman, mother, community health worker (CHW), and office manager, the values most important to me are deeply intertwined: Integrity is non-negotiable in all aspects of life, ensuring every interaction is honest and reliable. Empathy drives my work in community health, allowing me to genuinely connect with and advocate for families, while fostering compassion in my own children. Resilience is essential for juggling the demands of motherhood and a busy professional life, teaching me the importance of bouncing back from challenges. Finally, Service grounds my entire perspective, giving purpose to both my career in supporting community wellness and my personal commitment to raising kind, contributing members of society.
