What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my parents. My dad has always encouraged us to keep our playbook sharp, stay determined, and hold on to our faith—guidance that continues to shape who I am today.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is that feedback is a gift. The more knowledge and guidance you welcome, the stronger you become—both as a person and as a leader. Learning to truly listen and understand what others have to say is essential, because that’s what fuels real growth.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Persevere and don’t give up—setbacks, including exams or career detours, don’t define your potential, and staying committed to your journey will open doors you may not expect.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
HCA offers so many opportunities for professional growth, including shadowing team members in roles I may be interested in, attending leadership offsites with the executives and teams I support, and participating in courses that promote leadership and development. My biggest challenge is finding the time to fully engage in these opportunities while keeping up with my administrative responsibilities.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important thing for me—both at work and in my personal life—is showing up and being committed to my family. I enjoy going to work because my coworkers are like family to me, and at home I enjoy being present and helping my family. I’ve learned to find balance between work and my personal life by understanding that I spend most of my day with the people I work with—and work truly is family to me.”
