Jeanne Jones
Jeanne Jones is a seasoned food blogger, writer, and culinary professional with decades of hands-on experience across the restaurant, catering, and events industries. She is the creator of A Jeanne in the Kitchen, a food blog dedicated to helping home cooks feel more confident in the kitchen through approachable recipes, fun food facts, and creative cooking ideas. With a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from California State University, Los Angeles, and a degree in Culinary Arts from Southern California School of Culinary Arts, Jeanne blends strong storytelling skills with her deep culinary knowledge to engage and educate a wide audience. Jeanne’s culinary career began at age 15 and evolved to include work in restaurants, corporate catering, and large-scale, high-profile events. Her experience includes developing a top-rated custom menu for a major Chevron corporate account and catering notable events such as the 1989 World Soccer Cup in Pasadena and a private function for William Shatner, aka the original Captain James T. Kirk. She also gained valuable operational expertise by contributing to kitchen design, equipment ordering, and workflow planning. Working in a male-dominated industry, Jeanne earned respect through determination, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. Now retired from full-time culinary work, Jeanne remains highly active and creatively engaged. Her interests extend to food and nature photography, jewelry making, travel, and scuba diving as a certified rescue diver. Passionate about lifelong learning, community involvement, and supporting small businesses, Jeanne continues to evolve—sharing her creativity, experience, and love of food with a growing audience.
