Erika Bressan is the North America Financial Services Sales Lead at Google, where she brings over a decade of experience in sales, account management, and strategic client partnerships. Based in New York, Erika leads initiatives that bridge technology and financial services, helping organizations leverage Google Cloud solutions to drive innovation and operational excellence. Her expertise spans AI, automation, and digital transformation, enabling her to guide clients through complex, evolving markets with confidence and insight. Prior to her current role, Erika held positions at Google as Field Sales Manager and Account Manager for Financial Services, and gained international experience with OMD UK and Bosch Middle East. She is a certified Google Cloud Professional – Cloud Digital Leader and has completed advanced training through the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising. Erika’s professional journey reflects a consistent focus on cultivating relationships, delivering measurable results, and staying at the forefront of emerging trends in technology and finance. Erika holds a Master’s degree in International Development from University College London, where she also contributes as an Education and Business Mentor and Volunteer Staff at the UCL Institute of Education. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my passion and deep love for this field, combined with years of hard work and dedication to reaching my goals. Originally from Italy, I pursued my college education in London, and I make it a priority to stay current with certifications and advancements in technology. I genuinely enjoy my work and feel fortunate to contribute to and grow within a company as dynamic as Google.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that I have the power to make a difference and that, with determination, I can achieve the goals I set for myself.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to believe in your abilities and know that you can be successful, even in a male-dominated field. Confidence, persistence, and a commitment to continuous learning will help you thrive and make your mark.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I currently face is balancing the demands of my career with the personal changes of my last trimester of pregnancy. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities to continue growing professionally—investing my spare time in earning additional certifications and staying ahead in the rapidly evolving field of technology.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are balance, dedication, and connection. As a soon-to-be first-time mom, I strive to show that it is possible to pursue a fulfilling career while nurturing a family. I deeply value my relationship with my husband and cherish spending time together exploring art galleries in New York City, which inspires both my personal and professional growth.
