Christina Grant is the founder of Clean My Pad and the visionary architect behind Clean My Pad Connect—a purpose-driven technology platform redefining how the cleaning industry operates and evolves. Built from more than two decades of lived experience, her work is rooted in a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and often unseen demands placed on independent cleaning professionals.
Christina recognized early that traditional service models limited both impact and opportunity. Rather than accept those constraints, she reimagined her business into a scalable system designed to create freedom, dignity, and long-term sustainability for those who do the work. Clean My Pad Connect is not simply a platform—it is an ecosystem built to elevate an often-overlooked, female dominated industry by aligning clients, professionals, and technology in a way that honors value, transparency, and choice.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to determination, resilience, and a commitment to creating meaningful change. My career did not start with a title or a roadmap; it began with the determination to rebuild my life after divorce. The first job I could find was house cleaning a role that was initially about survival but soon became much more. Through hands-on experience, I gained a front-row perspective on an industry largely powered by women, yet often undervalued and misunderstood. Over time, I realized I could transform my work into a business, and in 2019, I partnered with a seasoned professional with extensive staffing and corporate experience. Her guidance helped me deepen my understanding of business operations and fueled my desire to grow and expand.
That vision culminated in the launch of CleanMyPad Connect, a platform designed to connect independent cleaning contractors with clients in a transparent, respectful, and empowering way. The platform allows clients to post cleaning needs while contractors select and bid on jobs that align with their schedules and skills, fostering fairness and clarity in an industry that often lacks both. Beyond logistics, CleanMyPad Connect offers resources, recognition, and support that address the emotional and mental demands of this work. My goal is simple: to elevate the industry, empower the women within it, and demonstrate that meaningful impact can grow from the most humble beginnings.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came through mentorship, community, and a willingness to step far outside my comfort zone. Organizations like BNI were transformative, introducing me to a wide network of people who challenged my thinking, helped me streamline my decision-making, and guided me toward building my business. Along the way, I explored different paths, from technology to nursing, but it was lived experience and guidance from mentors that shaped my vision. Today, I’m embracing the challenge of launching a new business within an existing one, growing as a professional, and proving that bold decisions and continuous learning are key to meaningful success.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: don’t let where you started define where you can go. I began with what I knew, learned as I went, and let my experiences guide me. Success requires stepping outside your comfort zone, showing up consistently, and embracing adaptability and growth. "What got you here won’t get you there", and recognizing the need to evolve was a pivotal moment that shaped my career and helped me achieve my goals.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the cleaning industry is the lack of recognition and emotional support. It is a woman-dominated field that is often overlooked, and the work can be mentally and physically demanding. At the same time, this presents a significant opportunity. My platform aims to address these challenges by providing not only job opportunities but also resources that acknowledge quality work and offer mental health support, creating a more empowered and sustainable environment for those in the industry.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are resilience, hard work, perseverance, and equity. Reinventing myself as a founder has required redefining my identity and showing up more boldly in my community challenges I embrace wholeheartedly. I am committed to personal development, building confidence, strengthening my leadership identity, and supporting my brand, all while creating meaningful impact in my field.
