Professional Biography
Dr. Sharon Bradni (Shirin Badrkhani), DNP, PMHNP, FNP, RNFA
Dr. Bradni’s journey is a testament to resilience, faith, and an unshakable commitment to service. Born in Iran, she left her home country due to religious persecution as a Christian and immigrated to the United States with limited English and unlimited determination. Her American journey began humbly as a bagger at a local grocery store, where her work ethic quickly set her apart. Within three months, she was promoted to cashier. In her first year—and again for the following two years—she earned Employee of the Year, personally recognized and pinned by the company’s owner.
While balancing full-time work, Sharon enrolled in esthetician school and passed the California Cosmetology Board on her first attempt. She then continued her academic journey with exceptional drive, completing her college prerequisite courses with a 4.0 GPA and earning acceptance into the competitive nursing program at Fresno State University. While completing her BSN, she gained early clinical experience as a student nurse at Community Regional Medical Center and was hired immediately after passing the NCLEX on her first attempt.
Determined to expand her role in patient care, Sharon pursued her Nurse Practitioner degree while working full time in the Cardiovascular Unit. After earning her NP degree and passing her boards, she joined a neurosurgery team. She then returned to school once again to complete her RNFA training, becoming a certified First Assistant in surgery. She spent years practicing full time in the operating room while simultaneously completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree—a rigorous program she finished while raising her daughter as a single mother and serving as the primary caregiver for her two elderly parents.
Inspired by her brother’s accomplishments in psychology and driven by a calling to support mental health in her community, Sharon returned to graduate school once more to become a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, passing yet another national board examination on her first attempt. Today, she works in both neurosurgery and neurology during the week and continues her passion for mental health on weekends as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Her holistic approach integrates clinical expertise with deep compassion and evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Before immigrating, Sharon earned a bachelor’s degree in translation in Iran and completed two years of teacher-training education. Beyond healthcare, she is a woman of many gifts, holding two international swimming and lifeguard certifications and maintaining lifelong passions for painting, piano, and the arts. She is also a devoted animal lover, sharing her home with four cats and two dogs.
Through every challenge, Sharon credits her strength to her enduring faith in Jesus Christ. Her goal is to honor Him through her work, her service, and every achievement He has made possible. Her story is one of perseverance, excellence, and grace—a true example of what can be accomplished when resilience, faith, and determination guide the journey.
